Professor David Palma led speculative design workshops and shared his professional journey at Izmir University of Economics.

Professor David Palma, from the Communication Design course, visited the Design Department at Izmir University of Economics in March as part of the Erasmus+ program. During this mobility, the professor had the opportunity to conduct a workshop on speculative design with Master's students in Design.

It was an activity that invited students to develop hypothetical future scenarios, with the aim of generating dialogue, reflection, and critical analysis of emerging problems in the relationship between society, technology, and the future.

At the end of the session, through a debate on the proposed futures, the different proposals developed by the groups were analyzed, leaving open multiple interpretations and possible scenarios.

During this visit, Professor David Palma also gave a lecture entitled "Married to Design," in which he spoke openly about his personal and professional relationship with design, sharing some of the experiences, challenges, and adventures that marked his career.

It was a short but intense visit, reinforcing the collaboration that the Communication Design course of the Department of Architecture, Arts and Design at ISMAT has been developing with the Design Department of Izmir University of Economics.
